Aishwarya Rai - Extremely elegant

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is inarguably among the most beautiful women in the world. Her eyes, charisma, and elegance are unparalleled. She conquered the world after she won the Miss World Pageant in 1994 and continues to do so, to this day. From being a successful supermodel to becoming an actor, endorsing brands and being the first Indian actress to become a jury member at Cannes festival, she is truly one in a million. A campaigner for several social causes and more than anything – a gorgeous mother.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s wardrobe is a melange of traditional and contemporary outfits. And, whatever it is that she wears, she looks breathtaking in every single frame. So, while at it, we picked out some of her best outfits—sarees, salwar, dresses and gowns. Scroll through to check them out, and it will be worth every click.

1. Glowing In A Gold Sabyasachi

Aishwarya Rai was spotted glowing in a rich gold Sabyasachi salwar kameez. With designer jewelry from Amrapali, the brown pumps only added to her already stunning look. The showstopper was, of course, the hot pink Banaras dupatta.

2. Looking Regal In A Navy Blue Dress

The Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Awards is a star-studded event that honors actors for their contribution to the industry. Aishwarya Rai received the Phalke award for her performance in Sarbjit. She showed up in a regal looking navy blue dress by Anju Modi, chand balis and subdued makeup, looked beyond beautiful.

3. In Beige And Gold Anarkali

This was at an award function—Lions Gold Awards in Mumbai. Aishwarya dolled up in a beautiful Sabyasachi ensemble that was entirely fitting.

4.  Elegant In An Embellished Gown

Aishwarya has been the talk of the town for more reasons than one. After her pregnancy sabbatical, people could not wait for her to hit the silver screen. Once she did, she was under scrutiny by movie aficionados and critics. However, nothing got her the attention like her recent movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. She broke all stereotypes when she chose to essay a bold character with a younger actor. Also, she pleasantly surprised fans with this elegant and ravishing black gown at the Glamour Awards, post the film release. The dress with a cold shoulder in ombre, rhinestone embellishments and illusion neckline certainly made heads turn.

5.  In An Off-White Sharara

Aishwarya is all about whites, gold, off-white and ivory undertones. When she appeared before the media after the release of Sarabjit looking splendid in a discerning off-white and polished gold. Her silver stilettos, watch and thick curls complemented Aishwarya’s personality and aura. I am adding this to my wishlist.

6.  Jaw Dropping In A Jacquard Ball Gown

Aishwarya donned this Jacquard ball gown for the premiere of her second comeback film post childbirth. It was in fact compared to a red carpet appearance. She looked ravishing in the strapless couture gown that fit perfectly on her toned body. Makeup by Mickey Contractor rounded this dress off perfectly. The best thing about the dress is it is equal parts elegant and vibrant.

7.  The Purple Pop

Every time Ash makes her red carpet appearance at the Cannes, and she never fails to take the fashion world by storm. She has been representing India every year and making fashionistas sit up and take notice of her attire. So did she last year when she donned the Ram Kadi floral gown.

However, her dress was not even the reason for the buzz; it was the ‘purple pout’ as the fashion police called it. Her purple lip color popped out with a burst of freshness, and it was the only thing she practically had on her face. Minimum makeup, bare look, and the purple pop.

8.  Ravishing In Red

Aishwarya chose this traditional attire for a luncheon with the French president Francois Hollande. Why not, it was Republic Day in India. Perfect attire, yeah? We loved how she went all out in a silk and Banaras zari designer piece by Swati and Sunaina. The saree, woven with pure silver threads is splendid. Her Polki Stone jewelry, chignon bun, red bindi and lipstick with flowers was a feast for the eyes.

9.  Breathtaking In White, Yet Again!

Breathtaking and beauty personified, the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of her and then you see her in sarees like this! Six yards beauty in its entirety - that's Ash.
